Episode 2: Silke Otto-Knapp

For the second episode of Book Porn, we are featuring Los Angeles based German painter Silke Otto-Knapp’s A Series of Images Following One from the Other (2018). Otto-Knapp’s intricate process of layering and transferring watercolor pigment across the canvas in order to create a delicate, textured black color that echoes the gracefulness of the shadowy figures dancing across the canvases.
